Wall and Floor Tiling & Plastering
Level 2 and 3 Qualifications

All our courses can help you towards gaining your full NVQ qualifications in your chosen trade.

The NVQ qualification

This is a vocational qualification which means that it has to be witnessed and completed in the workplace (ie. building or domestic site). Than means that after you have received your training in a training centre and are out working either employed or self employed, an assessor will come to you, observe you and complete your NVQ2 potfolio with you, once the 5 units are completed it is then sent away to the CAA who will then send you your NVQ. Your assessor will explain this in more detail.

If you are only doing domestic work (ie not on building sites), there is no current legislation to say that you have to have an NVQ which means that you can set up business and start trading straight away with your customers, you can apply for the NVQ assessment at a later date in your career when you feel the time is right for you or need to get on site

CSCS Card

This is a touch screen health and safety test usually done at your local driving test theory centre, it requires you to answer 40 multiple choice questions relating to H and S, this will allow you access onto a building site, it is also part of the NVQ qualification.

No training centre in the UK, no matter how long the course, can offer a full NVQ qualification in their training facilities unless you are already experienced tradesman with over 5 years proof of this, In a training centre you can only achieve evidence and units that will go towards a full NVQ.

All the work that is produced on our courses and certificates gained can go towards your final  NVQ assessment on site, once you feel that you are confident for our assessors to visit you,  you can then achieve the full NVQ 2 qualification and the CSCS site cards.

Gaining full NVQ qualifications will be clearly explained to you whilst undertaking any of our courses.
